Smell tests are a clinical method of assessing the level of function of a person’s Olfactory System (ability to smell). Smell tests are an important tool in detection of olfactory dysfunction as well as early signs of neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and forms of Dementia. We use the University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test which is estimated at a 94% rate of accuracy for detection. The smell test can be performed in office or via virtual meeting. The process takes 30 minutes to complete and is immediately scored. A Smell Test is an Integral part of Ambient Wellness Essential’s Reminder Program or can be performed independently of the program.
